Where Have I Been? That’s One Secret I’ll Never Tell

Just kidding, I’d never keep a secret from you. Considering there hasn’t been a post since Halloween, I think I owe you guys a life update.

New tatt — earth, air, water, fire, æther (Evan at West 4 Tattoo is AMAZING… highly recommend if you are looking for a minimalist tattoo)

November 5th one of my college roommates got married. This was my first “friend wedding” which makes me feel really old and really single.

My day started at DreamDry (Rachel Zoe’s brand) for a blowout with a side of champagne. I decided to be adventurous and go for a half-braid look. OBSESSED.

The following week was all about grocery shopping and prepping for Friendsgiving. The goal was to have an entire post dedicated to it but last minute I had to rush back to Jersey.

At noon on Saturday my Dad called me to tell me that he was at the vet with my family’s 12 year old golden retriever, Sandy. She had advanced cancer and was having a lot of trouble breathing so they said it would be in her best interest to put her to down that day.

I know everyone thinks their dog is the best, but Sandy really took the cake for best pet ever. This was one of the most devastating days but I’m glad my whole family was able to be there with her and say goodbye.

♥ “People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life… dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.” ♥

A couple days later was my sister’s 23rd birthday. She is living at home and had been spending a lot of time with Sandy so she took her absence particularly hard. So in an effort to lift her spirits I planned some activities followed by a surprise brunch with her HS and college friends for Saturday.

Mick Jagger’s wardrobe was one of my fave parts. He knows how to make a fashion statement.

It was unseasonable warm so drinks with a view post-brunch was necessary

And finally, last Monday I had surgery to fix my deviated septum. BTW that is not code for nose job… it was all internal, nothing cosmetic. So I was in bed all week hopped up on painkillers, watching Netflix (Gilmore Girls reboot & Black Mirror) and sleeping. Was barely able to taste Thanksgiving food but don’t worry, I ate it all anyway.

True to form, I did a significant amount of Black Friday & Cyber Monday damage. I will post my goods on Insta video and Snapchat (kwinch).

This has been a very long-winded post, so thanks to those of you who made it this far. My final Ireland posts are coming this week and I am actively working to get you guys some fun content on a more regular basis (& even better if you want to let me know what you are interested in seeing).
